Mirrored infinite space box

 Painting of space
Designs for mirrored space box. There is a hole in one side of the box for looking in,
five sides are lined with mirror and the sixth side is a picture of space with holes pricked in it for a light to be shone through.

Inside of box before it was sealed

 View through slot of box
Torch shone through holes. I think this looked better when viewed by
the eye rather than a camera as you can move your eye around to see the other
sides of the box.

With the flash of my camera on the photos show how the mirrors sometimes gave
an effect similar to underwater or light shining on fog.

For this to have worked better I shouldn't have put the viewing slot opposite the side
with the holes, it would be better on the ceiling of the box to give the effect of infinity.

When researching I came across the artist Yayoi Kusama who made Infinity mirror rooms
which are completely lined with mirrors and have many lights. These rooms give the effect of infinity that I was trying to achieve.

  1. Like the reflections of the mirror on the wall of the box.
